Angry Metal Guy’s Unsigned Band Rodeo

“Greetings bronco busters! The Rodeö is back in town despite endless protests by unsigned band activists and we have several new acts to run through the critical meat grinder. First up this week is British blackened melodeath act, Suodeth.” Ride free or die.

The Rodeo is back and this time we’ve brought shoegaze with us.

“July is a Rodeo month, and we have a special bull selected for the wrangling. That bull is none other than Finnish black metallers, Teuras. Having lurked in the gloomy forests of their homeland since 2015, III is their imaginatively titled third album.” Rodeo free Europe.

Welcome to the second Rodeo of the month, and a special one to be sure. Today we feature Existence Exiled, the debut album from German’s From Ashes Reborn. These cats play what they have dubbed “Scandinavian styled melodic death metal” and that’s about all we know about them. Their Facebook and Bandcamp pages have zero information about them. They have no pictures, no band listing, and the only information we have is that they were founded in 2017 and that Existence Exiled was recorded in cooperation with Markus Stock (Empyrium, The Vision Bleak). They tell us that their trademarks are “mighty growls […] embedded in a mixture of Heavy Riffs [sic] and blast beat attacks constantly accompanied by melodic hooks and harmonic lead guitars.” Here to weigh in on whether or not From Ashes Reborn can claim these to be their trademarks, or whether certain Scandinavian melodic death metal bands should be calling their lawyers is Team Corpsepaint by Numbers. Formed in 2009, Roma Delenda Est is their 2nd album, which appears to be have been recorded in 2016 but is only now seeing the light of day for reasons unknown. A conceptual album, it tells of the glory of ancient Carthage and the journeys of a warrior who must experience multiple cultures on his quest (for wengeance!).” The Rodeo is back in town, yo.
