February has come and gone and after obstructing vicissitudes and libations-induced impediments, we’ve finally arrived at that time: The Record(s) o’ the Month for February 2024. Praise be!
Angry Metal Guy’s Record(s) o’ the Month
Record(s) o’ the Month – January 2023
January is generally known as a throw away month in the reviewing world. It’s my impression that labels often treat January as a down month following the Christmas holiday. As a result, good new music tends to be slim pickings most years. So, let’s hope that it’s a good sign that the first month of 2023 was uncharacteristically good. There was, in fact, plenty to be excited about! Keep reading to find out all about them!
Record(s[es]) o’ the Month(s) – October & November 2022
December is upon us. Smoke rises from the mountain of doom, Listurnalia™ is just around the corner and Steel Druhm rides to AMG HQ in a vain attempt to get the Record(s) o’ the Month back on track in 2023.
Record(s) o’ the Month – February 2021
February featured heavy metal that was reviewed by some people at AngryMetalGuy.com. Levity was experienced by all. In the following post, Mr. Metal Guy will tell you all about what his favorite metal albums that were reviewed on the website were.
Record(s) o’ the Month – January 2021
Turns out I’ve been reading the blog for a change. Nothing good can come of this.
Record(s) o’ the Month – November 2020
“It’s nearly Christmas. The end of 2020’s greasy dumpster fire is nigh. Now is the time to drop the November Record(s) o’ the Month, as the relative lateness will be minimized what with all the sheeples being out at the steeples.” Musical blessings.
Record(s) o’ the Month – September 2020
As winter depression season arrives this far north, I just want you all to know that everything is terrible, your taste is horrific, and the writers of this blog are pursuing lives of futility. That is all.
Record(s) o’ the Month – October 2019
I’ve been known to throw the occasional curve ball, but I think three Record(s) o’ the Month(s) in one month is the first time I’ve ever pulled this particular caper. But Angry Metal Guy is never late. Nor is he early. He does what he’s doing precisely at the moment he intends to do it. For reasons that are his own (but are mostly fuck you). This month’s Record(s) o’ the Month is dedicated to all the people who like music for “atmosphere.” Of course, you might as well say that you “like whatever, so long as it has a good beat.” But the way you’re doing it is way more trve and garners you less friends and so much metal cred. I thought I’d help you all out by giving you a handful of bands that can write and (gasp) edit songs!
